Bought a couple of items off mk2vivs.
Straightforward transaction, he supplied tracking details, parts arrived promptly and as described.

I would buy from him again.

Bought a few bits from Danster - Rip off price, bits were well shoddy and I think he was drunk...

...Nah. Excellent to deal with, good deals and always good to draw on his geek like knowledge of what works and what doesnt when it comes to VW parts. Obviously good banter in there too.

Also recently purchased a nice clutch & flywheel (at long last!) from Chris Eyre. Again, not just a case of just paying for the part, good advice and instructions thrown in as well. He even went and delivered it to a company for changing out the spring for me. Spot on

While I am here, Hotgolf. Probably spent hours on the phone when he was doing my gearbox build and went out of his way checking out stuff with VW for syncros and stuff. Again, knowledge and banter worked into the price.

Folks like these make the site what it is and would probably still be faffing around deciding on which bits to use were it not for their help (car might well have taken 10 years to do as opposed to 5 years, or 6, losing track now....)

(Probably heaps of others I have forgotten as well...)

    Cheers,
    Ali

LOL. But have you been drinking? [:s]

The bits were very shoddy, it was a pair of rusty old rear brake caliper carriers iirc, but they were given to you for free!
Getting any cash out of an Aberdonian is an impossible task. So I suppose if you think you bought them, that is as good as it gets. ;)

Cheers anyway though Ali, at least it spurned Tristan into action. (now he really did get ripped off and shafted)

FPMSL (at my own stupidity - forgot I never handed you any cash for those. You cant argue though, great price)

Just goes to show, even FREE is not cheap enough for an Aberdonian. HTH

(You still got that block lying around? Your best price please Sir Danster )

    Somafunk, Simply put.........Top Lad

It was a swap of parts. I posted off the parts he needed. He posted some parts back to me and the booger threw in 2 boxes of finest chocolates and my postage cost.

You don't often come across such high class behaviour in today's world.
So as I sit here munching through these chocolates it reminds me there are still decent folk out there.

I just hope he has not spiked the chocs. :o If my posting becomes a tad more erratic than normal later can someone log me out please.

....this is gonna be a hard one to call if i'm entirely honest....remember danster - you've only been a mod for a few days........take it easy and back away from the keyboard, unplug the pc, lock the office, go out for a walk and hunt vampires with your wolf - sound advice.

Also recently bought some 280mm brakes from D4LFR. Very good communication and very fast delivery too.
