As the title says, how easy is it to change the speedo cable on a Mk2 16v? I know its a dash apart job inside, but what about actually running the cable through from the engine bay?

Any common problems I might encounter?

Yes what ever you do be very careful when you take the gearbox end of the cable out and putting back in. Do not let the small wheel fall off the end and go inside the gearbox. I don't think its to tricky getting through the bulk head.

I've just tried removing the cable from the gearbox, but it won't come out? Any tips for getting it out?
