Clarkson Needs your cars!

Hi guys and girls,

I have recently been contacted by a company who produce Jeremy Clarkson videos (the ones you see on the shelves at Christmas) and they are doing a feature on the MK5 Golf GTI for the next edition from Clarkson.

They asked me to get together a number of STANDARD Golf GTI's from all the other MK's. They will be filmed on a track and will be driven by the owners. The footage will be used in the next video to be released later this year.

Filming will take place between 28th May and 3rd June at a track venue (TBC). All the cars must be completely standard! They want no modifed cars at all.

Jeremy is keen to do this feature cause he loves the Marque. If anyone is interested could they please email me with your car details and contact details. Then either I or the Video producers will be in touch. Email address would also be a great help.

I thought Jeremy Clarkson hated VW's/Golfs except the new one.

Mine isnt standard, has been lowered and has Jetex exhaust, sorry!

My 89 Valver is standard inside and out but i will be abroad all summer. Pity

 

GTI's ONLY (8v or 16v) MK1, MK2, MK3, MK4

(I will enquire about Cabrios, but as there aint a MK5 Cab I doubt they will use it)

MK5 GTI is being supplied by VW Press

 

can put the standard lights on the front of mine to make it look normal, has an induction kit.

Just had confirmation that all Petrol expenses and track insurance will be paid for by Video Company

And the venue could be Dunsfold in Surrey, buy thats not confirmed

You're right - VW's MKI ain't good!!!

Got a totally standard MKII 8V GTi (small bumper) with 60K on the clock from new.
