I am looking at tidying up wiring in engine bay and elsewhere. Tape I have used in the past lost stickiness quite quickly.

Anyone got a product they swear by?

    Cheers

I’ve got TESA stuff and it’s great. I’ve used some others unbranded stuff and it’s super sticky and horrible once wrapped

Its made my Coroplast tapes, a few people on eBay selling it. Not sure which one works out cheaper.
Tesa 51608 is fleece "cabin" tape which I've used before and is very good. Their cloth "engine" tape 51006/51026 is also very good.

I've always used Tesa but I think I'm going to try some the interestingly Coroplast "Reverse tape" and their water repellent tapes. The RT tape is pretty cool because it only really sticks to itself and not the loom, so you can actually bend it and shape it afterwards.

VW have/do use Coroplast tapes, and I'm 99% sure they have/do use Tesa tapes and adhesives too

Tesa is used in VW dealerships for loom repairs.

tesa, coroplast and scapa all oem quality gear, plenty on ebay. I tend to get scapa fabricy stuff for engine bay sections same as what run out spec mk2 and early mk3 used. for the inside I like coroplast fluffy stuff its great for anti-rattle
