clutch slipping

    hello again. my driver has an intermitant clutch slipping problem. It only does it about 150 miles into the journey. Until then you can boot it as much as you like and no slippage but after then you have to be really careful, very slow pulling away from junction etc.:(


    is this the symptom of worn clutch? I've checked the free play in the pedal and that is fine. I just wanted to check before I spent money on getting it fixed, I'm not allowed (by her indoors;)) to do it myself.


    The car has done 138k and was very well looked after by its first owner (who did the first 135k) so I suspect that he would have put a new clutch in at some point.
