    surprised that turbo wasn't very big, wonder how many they use on a rally!?

    the rally cars are limited to 300 hp aint they?? so no heed for a dustbin lid for a turbo ;)

    On 38mm restrictors in '94, then 34mm from '95 IIRC

    WRC cars arent regulated by BHP, but an air restriction size. Also, Coling McRae's Escort is his 'plaything' and isnt regulated like a WRC as it isnt a competition car - having said that, it probably conforms to some regs because of how he wants to use it

    300 brake is an unwritten limit which has existed for near enough 2 decades, which the restrictor now pretty much enforces anyway.

    They need low down power anyway, so they can't go mad with dustbin sized rallycross turbos...

    Is that not McCrae's SR20DEt engined mk2?

    If so they have a Garrett T28 as std. Not that big.

    All the turbo chat is about a turbo change on the Impreza vid where a turbo is filmed in the second post.

    Mk2 has a Millington diamond engine, basically (!) a high revving atmos alloy blocked Cosworth engine.

    aahhh, i didn't even watch the impreza vid... [:$]

    Had it have been a Gp B S2 I'd have watched it first time round.
