seen that the day after the race. brilliant footage of the whole lap. mcrae is one of the best there has ever been. driving still is full on or nothing at all. i know a guy whos was one of the mechanics on his car for that event. said he selected 1st gear in mid air and upside down. urban myth or truth i don't know...
I would go with the truth, he is a total legend, lives a couple of miles from me and the owner of my local pub is good mates with him, see Colin in there quite often and there is a load of his memrobilia, race suits, helmets, pictures etc, there was even a front bumper of an old Subaru on the wall.
Excellent vid ! Was just thinking how bloody ugly those subarus are when suddenly he rolled it over and made it look SO much better. Definately one of the top 10 best drivers i think.
