comp - everyone invited

some thing along the lines of this:

 

here is my attempt. first effort at reshaping lights and arches and doing mexh. i'm quite impressed.

 

Can't see it mate.

 

not bad for a first go mate,


i would possible fad out the mesh a little so its not as 'bright' will be more subtle then,

hmmmm, i would do but i really can't get the hang of layers. so i just save each mod and open it up again. so the mesh'll do for now because it got done kinda at the beginning, pics will be lost now. might have a go at something else now. i'm well into it.

 

what dont you get about the layers?


make a new layer to do a new mod on, if you f**k up make a new layer and start again,


then merge when you are happy with that layer and carry on!

but the stuff underneath doesn;t carry through. say if i add a section of colour and want to blend it to the body work, it doesn't blend. just kinda shows through what i've done.

 

thats cos the are on different layers, what i do is highlight the secletion im going to be blending into and duplicate that as a layer, then put the colour on that layer,

i see what you mean. so if i was to re-do the mesh for example. do a loose poly lasso around the grill with a bit of the surround and then paste it. when i paste it a new layer will be made automatically right? then i can do whatever and unless i reduce the opacity i won't see anything under neath it? is this right? i might have another pop then.

 

So whats happening with the take over guys?

well i just picked up this months PVW and none of our stuff is in there, so it looks like wez.mk3 didnt send them yet

 

yeah the 1st issue in a couple of months I haven't been in the mag.
It takes a while to compile the issue though so the 'chops will probably be in the mag in a couple of months.

 

56k means i'm not mass emailing.

alot of the "entries" are quite low quality, i only presume people have kept larger versions to send in?

anywayz, like i said at the begining it was never a competition, i just wanted everyone to chop a design on the same car and bombard pvw with them, like the magazine covers wasnt strictly a competition, it was just a laugh to have a crack at one, everyone could have a go at

i jsut thought if everyone sent the same car in, and everyone digitally signed the pic somewhere they'd cotton on and put em all in, ah well.............

 

Got ya so everyone sends their own pics in.

I suggest we all put the same title for the emails.
'Club GTI S4 Mac daddies'
That way they will know they are all to go together.

I'm gonna send mine in now then.
