i think they were called CF Fabrication. can't find the scrap of paper their details were written on, must have been thrown out A quick call to VW Racing should sort you out with their name/number
CH Fabrication I guess. The Revo R32 has their studs on - checked last weekend, but seen before now. Looked fantastic to me. These are M14s though. Do yours have the first 5 or so threads missing? Shall have an eager look at the next NR...
CH fabrication sounds good, I think the guys name was Chris. yes mine have the first 4 or 5 threads removed, the end has been machined down into a dome so no sharpe edges and the nuts are lead on nicely. My main problem with them is that they were made from a pre threaded rod with the plain section in the middle just flattened down, they just bite into the hub due to the thread being flatttened but if you wind them hard enough they would go right through the hub. I would have preferred them to have been made from an oversive bar with the thread cut into it and the plain section left oversize so that when you wind them into the hub you get a positive stop and the stud locks in place.
Yep, same problem here (obviously) With the price of them I hoped they would have come machined as Steve describes above. As they are they aren't much better than Grayston studs but were a lot more dollar!
Sorry to drag this up again, what was the general opinion of these items from rallynuts.com: Only 1.65 each is appealing to my student pocket too...
They're fine for the rear drums or discs, you will need to drill the threads out and spot face the rear so thay have somewhere flat to seat on. Ther's not enougth meat IMO to safely drill the front hubs out to use these. I used graystone Studs and welded the back of the studs to stop them from coming out.
think i'll get a full set of the graystone ones and just put a couple of spot welds on the back of each of them, then if i strip them won't be hard to replace, and will mean they stay there. Cheers for the advice.
i bought some grayston ones recently from demon tweeks then sent them back the quality was so poor. the mk5's have the proper quality ones with a lip, but they came with the big brake conversion, going to get a engeering compamy to make some proper ones

Rolled threads are ,hard to explain btw, aren`t cut into bar but the dies form a thread by pushing into it. There will be no material removed in doing so.Cut threads remove material and create potential weak points in root of thread.You can usually tell if thread is rolled as unthreaded part will be smaller diameter than the thread and a cut thread tends to be more "sharper" looking in comparison. A better description.
I'll check the Grayston dimensions for the rear portion length. Front end, it's just a question of if people plan to run spacers and wheel hub thicknesses
