Been thinking of getting a 19v Sealey 1/2" Drive cordless Impact Driver for quite a while now, but have been put off a bit by the cost (from 150 to 220 generally)

Saw one of these yesterday at a local market for 60
    24v impact wrench

& it looked quite good quality. Apparently the max torque is 240lbft like the Sealey & it comes with 2 batteries & a 1 hour charger.

Considering I won't be using it day in day out, just for the odd jobs now and again, do you think it's a good buy?
I think Boschmann are German aren't they?

Anyone used them? If he's there next week I think I'll take a couple of sockets with me & I'll ask him if I can take the wheelnuts off his Transit - that will be a fairly good test

I've got the Sealey version that you mention, and I cant recommend it highly enough. Its literally worth its weight in gold, couldnt be without it now

I know of a few others on the forum that have the snap on version, again, good reviews

If it's the same as the Boschmann one I saw yesterday then it said 240 lb ft in the instructions. I'm just wondering what the quality of the motor's like & the battery life

    Just seen this on eBay:
    Sealey impact wrench

& they come with a new battery & charger. I wonder why they've been reconditioned though? I think I'd rather pay a bit more for a brand new one

I've got the Snap-on CT3850 (18 volt) was expensive, but never mind. :) Really handy tool.

For 60 it's worth trying the one you saw on the market :)

Might be the same as the guy on eBay who does a lot of Creative audio stuff, he'll buy them from Sealey or someone as returns/shop demo's etc. then sort them out for resale?

That's what I'm thinking, & I suppose it'll have a 12 month guarantee at least? If he lets me try to undo some wheelnuts then I think i'll get one

I agree, the name 'Boschmann' does give a fair impression of being
german, and hence of some kind of decent quality. (Not to mention the
dark green plastic, just like a certain other well known manufacturer uses)

Boschmann is far from german, and further still from quality I suspect.

    Who are Boschmann?

 Sorry. Better than spending 60 hard earned notes on a product
    from this enterprise though -

    True!

I'd rather spend a bit more for a quality tool that will last. Classy advert tho'

I thought Boschmann amps were supposed to be good?!? But then I'm far from an expert when it comes to car stereo gear. I don't even have a head unit in my car.
