Insert G60 instead of VR and you'll get my reply. Ive had them both and my G60 is way more fun (not a raddo though)

VR6 is better if your looking for something that will hold value, if you believe Hammond on a previous top gear.

Thats a good point though. G60 is more of a drivers car, for those in the know. VR6 is a VR6 raddo...everyone wants one at some point.

Couldn't care less if the G60 was faster as standard than a VR6 it's still missing 2 cylinders and the rest is just nit picking.

VR6 every time, G60’s sound cack and break 1000x more often than the VR’s, never had a G60 keep up on the track

All depends on what's been done to get the G60 to 200bhp. If it's got a cam, head, balanced big end, what map it's running, what supercharger it's running, etc, etc, etc...

The other thing about modified motors is they tend to go BANG alot easier than standard ones. Remember that the late VR6's were quoted at 193bhp because it's a european tax bracket - they usually put out more power than that.

If the G60 is a genuine 200bhp at the flywheel it'll stay with a VR but if it's a standard G60 with a motorsport pulley, superchip and stage 4 charger and it's a case of "it should make 200bhp but it's never been setup on the rolling road" then the VR will likely show it a clean set of heals.

As stated above, add forced induction to the VR and it'll leave most things on the road in it's wake.

:p thanks for the replys, its helped me a little but im still not sure hehe, seems most of you think the vr is the way forward, but then again i agree with a g60 being more of a drivers car,
    [:x] its to hard!
vr6 are still fetching alot of money even with very high millage so i think im going to have to go with a g60 although i would love to hear a vr under my bonet! [:D]

    thanks every1!

G60 all the way...And thats coming from me :o

Vr's sound alright, but then so can G's :p Ive a 2.8 straight six in the beemer and i still prefer the g60[:^:] Its just a bit 'different' and the feel of the charger is cool.
Easy to get decent torque/power out of with a few tweeks.

There's a few good vids on youtube:)
