Good examples of both the be had for >3k. Both Insurance group 17. Similar performance. Both sport fantastic looks.

I think the G60's pros are its more tunable and lighter, maybe better on fuel.

But you cant beat the quattro stability and 5 cylinder sound track?

Oh heck I'll have to get both

20v Coupe is not a patch on the S2, (S2 is very quick, but not light on its
feet), Corrado would be vastly more entertaining to drive. Very nimble
    and plenty of grunt.
Plenty of people can cater for the G60 lader at a sensible price if troubles
occur, a cheap high mileage quattro drivetrain could be a more expensive
    problem in the long run.

    I've currently got a 1990 Coupe Q 20v....

It's a fantastic car... but it costs a fortune to run, does about 20mpg (if you drive VERY conservatively)

Nice inside, loads of room, and reasonably quick (this may mean mine isn't running right, but it's not as quick as my old mk2 valver)

If I didn't do minimum of 50 miles a day I'd keep it, but unfortunately... thanks to fuel duty and such like, It's gonna have to depart for pastures new. [:^(]

If you want G60 + 4WD then what about a Golf Rallye?? Great car in my opinion...well I would say that really :)

Trouble is both are pale shadows of better cars.

    G60 outclassed by the VR5
And the Coupe by the 'real' Quattro.

Probably the Corrado though, just love the word 'Supercharged', sounds fast!

    Cheers,

    Drew.

Dad had three quattros, the last one a Treser.
Still the best cars he's owned (had a 928, 308 GT4,etc) and super reliable too.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but having driven my R32, he reckons it has a similar sorted feel but prefers the V6 engine.

My brother has got a 2.3 20v coupe, (not quattro) and although it is heavy on fuel, it sounds really nice, absolutely flies, and is very nice inside.

just like the 80,90,100,200 etc... before them...

they are just not the 'original'

Ive got a 2.2 10v fwd - its as quick as a digi 8v up to 60 then carries on to 100mph plus in 3rd. In other words its very good on the 'autobahn'.

I can get over 30mpg in it without to much trouble. Wouldnt consider any less than 25mpg when driving easy, So that scares me off the 20v then! [:^(]

PS Rallyes are like 7k and get p***** on by mk1's

S2 does on average 18mpg (with me driving ;) )

The 'real' Quattro (of the Sport variety) couldnt hack it at the last track day at Donny though!! My standard S2 showed it the way home!
