I'm thinking of replacing my MK2 Valver with one of the above, I was suprised how cheap they are, I've seen some nice ones on Autotrader for 2-3K, but I've never driven one and I know nothing about superchargers.

Any owners / previous on here? any good? reliable? fast as phuck or slow/

    Thanks

    Pj

I bought a Corrado G60 back in June, not standard spec (R1 charger, chip and pulley, RSR outlet, RS2 intercooler, Milltek exhaust etc) - very gutsy and surprisingly economical (28mpg on average)- looked at a few - 2-3k will get a straight one but be prepared to do some work. Superchargers are easily serviced and can be done for 300 so not a major issue. I have a Racing Puma and will always drive the G60 in preference to it

I have learned a lot about G60's in the last six months from the Corrado Forum http://the-corrado.net/forum/portal.php , also may be worth giving John at JMR a call - he specialises in G60's and is a source of great advice, drop me a PM if you want his number

Ditto. As long as you you keep them serviced regularly they are great.

Are they a lot more expensive to run than say a MK2 16V?

Some Corrado bits, mainly body panels are getting scarce and expensive, normal running costs I doubt would be much higher as long as you budget for oil changes every 6k and a 300-400 supercharger service every 40-50k
