Wahey!! Finally dragged her out of the garage and took it up the road. The flywheel is going to take some getting used to , the engine speed rises and fals REALLY quickly, so it takes some getting going to pull away without stalling it. Gear linkage needs adjusting though, it's tough to get 1st and 2nd (so I was probably pulling away in 3rd!). I can definitely feel the loss of torque now the schrich vgi isn't on (off for polishing), but once I found the right gear and wound it up it nearly snapped my head off! wel impressed. It's a totally differetn car now thgoh, so it'll take me a week or so to get a feel for it all again and learn it's limits. Giving it a thorough check oever int he daylinght in the morning to make sure nothing else falls off (the PS pulley came off!! I hadn't tightened the bolts up becasue I'd just painted the pulley when I'd fitted it) So all being well, it'll be fine for Inters. The polished wheels look the absolute dogs testicles too, not bad for 100 with tyres!
I think we need to mug him for that comment eh Paul. Can you imagine the scene...it would take 5-6 of us pint sized blokes hanging off him to take him down!! Great news on the car Paul. When are you getting the Schrick back on?
Shrick will be getting polished as soon as I'm back from Inters. Still loads of stuff to finish off, but so long as it gets me down to the show and back it'll do for now
big man! LMAO i wonder if there is anyone is world taller than Stef! Come to think of it is there anyone smaller than Phats?
