Corrado racing on the A69

    Deep Purple corrado on the A69 head bk from Hexham! I was in front of you in mk2 Golf sitting at 140mph you not keep up? [:D]

    Corrado sorry, and yes i did feel like a grade -a **** after i had realised what could of happend if the boys in blue had caught me! rather childish! [:^(] just finshed rebuilding engine and got caught in the moment! keep me speed for the track and hillclimb days!!! [:$]

    All Corrado's will do 130MPH plus apart from the 2.0 8v I think. The VR is good for nearly 160MPH!

    I guess the driver just had common sense.

    neither of my 1.8 16v's would do 130 plus! where did you get that??

    The factory figure for the valvers is 136MPH.. i've seen 120MPH no problems on my 2.0 16v in Germany and it had more to go but I wimped out!

    Recon box with ap clutch kit and lightend fly wheel, fully ported and polished, reground crank and forged pistons, new valves, head skimed and preasure tested, shrik cam setup and and advanced the timing a wee bit, chiped aswell, im doing a hill climb series next year with her! should be a good laugh1 done it 3 yrs ago but with a modded GT Punto, Waiting on some Throttle Bodies coming aswell! getting fully painted over the next 2weeks and alloys re-furb'd aswell! am not sure what bhp at the mo as am waiting to get itb's first b4 rolling road tune.

    those sort of speeds are dangerous on A roads !, if you had killed yourself [|)] theyd be wipeing you up all along the road for a little, way

    You should worry more about something pulling out/changing lanes in front of you rather than the Police.
    I've never heard of the Police crushing someone in a pile of twisted metal but that's exactly how you'd end up if you crashed at that speed. [8(]

    you wouldnt be noticeable if the car had crashed at that speed, car woulda probabley split along with the person driving it,

    I think someone put the wrong speedo drive gear in when the box was reconditioned.
