Measured disks appear to be ok and measure 9.5 mm if not a bit rusty but otherwise ok ,pads are 13.5 thick still good to reuse ?,seem to remember they are 15mm new.
I would like to replace front pads and have new set Mintex MDB 1266 but researth has been patchy on fitment, says 16V vented disk which I should have as later golf platform.
One further question is the calipers ,anything around that era is Lucas or Girling ?,is the caliper pad fitment special to those manufacturers ?.
    TIA,cheers.

Finally sourced the model and part number and found the part number ,appears the Corrado has odd ball front calipers, appears the pads I have are for 8v/16v 1.8 GTI and very differant ,guess I will on sell these as they are spare from my GTI resto.

    Those pads are barely worn.

MDB1266 pads are for the vented 239mm diameter front brake setup used on certain 8v and early 16v model mk2 Golfs.
Corrado didn't come with 239mm front brakes so explains why those pads won't fit as the 239 calipers and carriers are different from 256/280.
Corrados had either vented 256 or 280mm diameter 4 wheel stud discs on 16v and G60 models respectively, or vented 280 or latterly 288mm 5 wheel stud discs on the VR models.
Do some research on pad thicknesses for the 256 and 280mm pads though, and check what calipers you do actually have on your car, as there are different widths of front calipers to accommodate the 20 or 22mm front 256 and 280mm disc widths and 2 choices of pad thickness. IIRC a "narrow" width caliper and thicker option pads may not fit over your discs.
