MY MOKA BOUGHT A CORRADO ON SATURDAY AND AFTER GIVING IT A GOOD BLAST THE 180 MILES HOME HE HAS DISCOVERED THAT THE HEATER MATRIX IS LEAKING. NOW AM I MAD OR DID VW RECALL CORRADOS AND MK2 GOLFS FOR A FREE REPAIR BECAUSE THERE WAS A FAULT WITH THE MATRIX?. ANY HELP WITH THIS, OR IF YOU KNOW OF ANOTHER WEB SITE THAT I MAY GET SOME IDEAS FROM WOULD BE AS ALWAYS GREATFULLY REICEVED.
Corrado Recall notices Recall Ref:R1996/073  ; DescriptionOSSIBILITY OF COOLANT LEAKAGE INTO PASSENGER COMPARTMENT VIN:WVW....50.KK 000 001 TO WVW....50.KK 014 927, WVW....50.LK 000 001 TO WVW....50.LK 012 693 Build Date:August 1988 to December 1989 Edited by: gbolton
Apparently theve stopped this recall as when I got my GTD in Jan, I rang my dealer and checked, and although it hasnt been done, they've stopped doing them.
about as bad as the mk2 to fit, ie not that easy... but worth it, when they go it fills the car with steam and you cant see or press the brake with your boiled foot plus the mess they make means you need to strip the interior and dry out the felt sound deadening or it'll just rot out in years to come. 30 odd qiud from memory..
WELL THANKS YOU GUYS. I HAVE PRINTED OUT THE LINK THAT GBOLTON PUT ME ON TO, AND I'LL GIVE IT TO ME TOP MOKA AND HE'S GOING TO GO ARMED WITH IT TO OUR LOCAL VW EMPORIUM AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. I'LL GET BACK TO YOU ON THE OUT COME.
ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE KEYBOARD, IS A BUTTON THAT SAYS 'CAPS LOCK'....... ... and this is the effect it has. Much more calm and pleasing to the eye
