Thinking about getting a Corrado VR6 if I can ever lay my hands on an original exapmple. Anyone know what fuel consumption is like? Friend did have a Golf VR6 and said it was poor - low 20's around town and you'd be lucky to get 30 on a run.

I'm used to 40mpg at 80mph in the Scirocco!

Can anyone tell me from experience about running costs in general?

    Thanks for your help.

vr6's are pretty good on the motorway...i can easily get 33mpg ata constant 90mph (cause its really high geared, so thats low revs).

about 22-25 around town with modest driving...but you don't really care as its mucho fun driving one.

Never saw better than 37mpg at anytime in 18 months.

So if it's a 15 gallon tank at 4.00 a gallon say 60.00 to fill it up to do 250 miles... [:^(]

Hell i'd buy another one tomorrow...

i've never topped 36mpg in mine. Normal day to day running consisting of a 6-7 mile trip to work through country lanes gets me about 25mpg, and that's an average sort of trip for me. Normally see around 29-30 on a run and anything around 15 when giving it a bootful! Loads of fun though.....
