Correct tyre size for Mk3 Vr6?

With standard 15" bbs wheels

 

205/50/15

 

or 195/50/15, you can run both (check the fuel filler cap of any mk3 gti or vr6).

 

i would stick to the 205's myself...more rubber on the road.

it's annoying isn't it.

but here's a thought...if you could get hold of some decent part worn 205s for very little money, would you go for that or brand new 195s? (i've done the first one)

 

try www.mytyres.net, seem good on tyres for my mk3 16valver which is same size tyres as vr6 i think

 

205/50's in the summer

195/50's in the winter.
