What brand was it, and roughly where did it crack? the Arcan one is pretty chunky, but I'll keep an eye on it, based on that.

where there's blame theres a claim, just dont drop the car on your head, a finger will do.

I`ve just bought one today and jacked the car up from the front crossmember.

5 pumps to full height, and no bending or straining at all.

We`ll see how long it lasts, but TBH it`s better than driving onto a piece of wood or using the Widowmaker to lift the car a couple of inches, before using a `normal` trolley jack.

might go down to costco later and pick one up with my plastic friend, I too am fed up of driving onto wood and then pumping my jack 100000000 times to get it off the floor.

i havent properly read all the posts, but ive heard about alloy jacks snapping.. dont know if its true though:lol:..

id rather stick with a steel one, whether its heavy or not... its SAFE:p

i got a SEALEY 3T Trolley jack with 6T Ratchet Axle Stands & Car Creeper all for 99... and i think the christmas offer is on at sealey again this year...;)

its been outside most the time and is still going strong..
