    yeah fine so far. it obviously serves a purpose, but my rationale is that allot of manufacturers do not fit them, so how do they cope ?

    for instance, 80's vauxhall nova/astra/cavalier/carlton all used a pierburg 2E3, none of which had inlet heaters.

    Sounds cool, apparantly the polo GT cam is a winner aswell :)

    I will be doing a similar thing with my 1600 very soon, hopefully college will let me use their rollers to gauge the results :)

    is the ports on the head the same size as the GK inlet?

    yes, as shown on page one with the manfifold gasket used as a template.

    nice to see a few basic mods cn be done by somebody with some decent spanner skills and all with VW bits! OEM+ rules! do you know where a manifold can be bought for a GF to fir twin carbs?

    sorry for the triple post, its a polo mk3 manifold vw part number 030129711P for a 1.4 engine.

    top work.. reminds me of my old mk2 polo, back in the day when I could barely afford to put fuel in it, yet alone mod it..

    Great thread and great car, I may have to dig out my polo and do something to her after seeing this :lol: also given me a few things to think about when I finally get round to tweaking my little 1300 golf, great stuff :)
