ok. i very rarely come on here for a rant. i use the forum for its good points of which there are many. i also dont ever **** of peoples cars.

ive been looking for a nice mk2 lately, i'm pretty particular about what i want but dont expect a free lunch.
i just want a run out mk2 j plater, nice colour, nice condition, not a minter, somethin that can be tidied up a bit. and standard. and i dont really want to be spending more than 1500 quid.

keeping an eye on the classifieds and theres some real jokers about. the one ive just seen on this forum ( i'm not gonna mention what it is) is a fine examle of someone who thinks if a golf is oak green then its worth 1500 above its value.
really makes me wonder what people think makes a good car. when a car is blatently a dog, and is actually described as being abused with no history yet they still want way over the value????

Also, what the hell is with this use of the word "campaign" to try and sell a golf. now i know which are the campaigns and which arent, as i'm sure most on here will, so why try and sell something to enthusiasts when you know nothing about the car your trying to sell.
    anyway
i feel much better now. back to searching for a nice golf. in fact it doesnt even have to be nice anymore, just honestly priced!!!!

 I think I've spotted the advert in question and thats stupidly over the odds for that car...2600:clap: Keep hunting, for 1500 you'll get something tidier than that.

My late plate K reg 16v MK11 only cost 850 with full SH, the down side is its white and 5door, but I was willing to compromise for the right car.
I was looking for months for a run out for less than 1000.

this guy is having a laugh, what planet is he on?! he won't ever get that sort of money for a rough looking car, with a badly written advert, that is more expensive than deako's restored low mileage 16v! joker[xx(]

hhmmm, tad over priced there matey.
Hold out for one sportline. You'll find a decent one in the end, my advise would be to steer clear of the dreamers on enthusiasts forums and keep looking in the autotrader and online classifieds. Piston heads has a decent car classified section.
