crash damage false alarm - it's the bearing!! :-o

    Yeah it's insane. I've been attacking the A43 through Northants to work (and all the roundabouts) for about 2 months now, and never felt anything - perhaps that's what made it work loose all the changing direction.

    Yeah I had an advisory about the outer CV on that side - I just thought someone had fitted the wrong one to it, never thought the hub was splitting! To be honest, it was probably the outer CV joint that actually held the hub together! Wow, that's a scary realisation...

    Yeah the bearings were absolutely silent - one thing I was worried about when swapping hubs around as I hate bearing noise! Glad there was no accident though. I'll be getting some 256mm hubs at some point and upgrading the whole front, hopefully with a fresh subframe too.
