I have a cruise system from a mk3 golf 2.0 8v to fit on my mk2 and have a question on brake and clutch switches.
The schematic has a 1mm black/red wire, positive wire i think to feed them.
Tdi version has a brown wire to feed them a ground wire.
The bentley test procedure for the system expects ground signal from the switches for gasoline 2.0. Black/red is not a ground wire colour.
So ground or positive for the switches?

    Solved! Cruise installed and working.
Stalk is made from one with mfa plus a blinker indicator. Some cutting and glueing.
Vacuum pump under expansion tank, cruise brain to the right of the fusebox.

how did you find mounting up the throttle pedal actuator in the footwell?

for anyone reading the black/red is 'brake lights on' feed from pedal switch, from from W/4 just in case you were wondering. the black/red wire will see earth through the brake light bulbs when brake pedal not pressed :)

Was easy for me, maybe 1h to do the actuator. All system in a few hours.
I had the w connector from the donor car, plugged in that and was working.
