    Yeah, don't get me wrong; build quality is no reason to buy a car - I'd
    still rather have the mk5. But they just seem to get a slanging that
    they don't deserve.

    i would but i have to fit the chain and sprokets.....so i wouldnt be able to get there till late [8(]

    i think part of the reason Recardo attracts it...

    after telling Tub he'd easily keep up on any twisty road or track


    he now won't go on track and prove it.

    and i know you wouldn't keep up with him on track in your car - because i couldn't in my std valver, and i am a better driver than you.

    To be fair to him (seeing as we're talking behind his back here) he does
    say in that thread that he doesn't mean on the track and he doesn't mean
    he could beat Tubthumped in a race, just that he could stay with him on
    the road. Unfortunately there's only one way this argument will ever be
    settled...

    I reckon Recardo threw down the Gauntlet to Tub then...

    You'd do well to keep up Recardo, Tubs car is pretty swift as next months Golf+ will show ;)

    aww bless. i'm very impressed by the Geek speak - maybe you should spend more time driving the golf on track, less time sat on the net talking about driving quickly.

    Then come on a trackday sometime and we can all giggle at the slow boy in the pretty car.
