Mk1 Golf cabriolet 1984...the screw fixings under the dash have, over the years worn away leaving only a few intact mountings to secure the plastic facia to the dash itself. I am thinking of buying a new facia but would like to ensure that it is secure and without rattles...very annoying! Is there anyway of repairing the existing mountings? i am NOT going to replace the dash or anything drastic like that...the simpler the better in my book!!Ta.

Use larger screws that cut a new thread, or use some of those clips that you get on rear shelf speakers to hold the screws.

BTW, no need to shout [:^:]
