i did my own using one of frosts kits, came out alright in small places but when i tried to do a larger expanse it wasnt as good, i found because of the temperature in the room i was doing it in it was making the glue go off very quickly

i intend to do a bit more flocking at some point although i think i am going to send my complete dash to a place called Pro-Trim

That looks flockin' trick Steve - have you still got vents to demist the screen?

Wish i'd had a dash flocked before fitting the cage, it'll have to come out if/when I get round to it.

sure have, I cut out the screen ducting section from inside an old dash i had spare and glued it to the underside of the tracksport dash. I put small oval holes into the dash in the same location as the original so the air gets blasted nicely onto the screen. :

Also allows me to secure the dash using the original locations under the screen [:D]

A company was recommended to me by a friend, they don't really advertise but do jobs like this as a side line to their core business.

    Thanks,

I worked on it for 3 full days and then a few half days before/after work. The goal was to get it done in time for the ring trip, it was a lot of effort but worth it imo.

Shame it's taken me 2 years to actually get round to fitting it [:$]

Early days but it seems to be wearing well, could be a pain to keep the dust off from it though, might need hoovering or blowing down with an airline.

Thanks motorhead, I can't remember the exact cost of the dash as it was a few years ago that i bought it but i think it was around 100. Quality is pretty good although its quite basic as it is only a piece of fibreglass with a gell coat external finish. The fit around the screen is very good and the the outer brackets on the car met up well with the dash.

The weight of the old mk2 dash was 8kg for just the basic bare top section, the tracksport dash weighed 2.5kg with the dials etc installed.
