    I haev Dellorto 40s
Just want to know what obvious differences there are between the two makes, do they mount differently? Bigger, smaller, stud pattern for manifold etc. Please help as i need a manifold and tsr just told me that the weber one is different to dellortos, but can't tell me why.

Hopefully somebody on here know something.
    Cheers
    Pete

There is no difference between the 8v dellorto and weber manifolds.
The manifold from my dellorto's fitted another guys webers fine.
The stud pattern is the same.
The only slight difference is the room for fitting the nuts onto the manifold studs of the webers is limited on some newer spanish ones.

The main difference between webers and dellorto's in the systems used in labeling jet/ emulsion tube sizes and the location of the accelerator pump diaphram[sp?]
(AFAIK it's underneath when installed on dellorto's and inside the base on the webers, of course I could be very wrong but at least I'm wrong in a way which is at least similar or at worst completely different to the right answer, did I mention I've been averaging 4 hours sleep this week? No oh well I'll leave it to my collection of singing potatoes to explain it then.
While I think about it the weber does have a single butterfly style nut on the float cover to let you get to the jets and the dellorto has 2 screws, that's another difference.)

I thought that there was no difference though had to check. Right i can now get a manifold, anyone know the cheapest place?

Does 106 inc vat sound reasonable?

I've had a crack at takin them apart, all seems straight forward. Also downloaded some information sheets, showing diagrams, labels and walkthru's

Thanks again guys for the info.

That's right the fuel filter inside the fuel banjo [sp?] on webers is so notoriously soft and easy to damage that it spends most of the day hiding in a small cupboard.
