So I am looking for new interior.

Was thinking of going for standard replacement, but then I got thinking - could I fit say some recaros out of a BMW, or even some Fiesta RS recaros?

Fitting them, is it a case of cutting the subframes and then welding the standard ones on?

Does anyone have any idea of what might fit with out too much hassle?

This looks pretty good to help with subframe work.

He has a pic of fitted seats Honda Integra DC2 Recaro, I've seen others with Porsche, Audi TT and TVR too.

But to answer your question I'm sure anything could be done, checking the dimensions of your new seats of choice against the originals would be a must do, and I've read some seats altered the driving position too much by sitting you too high or low but this could maybe be addressed when fitting the subframes.
