Digi throttle body options?

I've a mk2 Digi getting standalone management, the legendary TonyB suggested a 9a t/b so as to have a built in TPS. Is it a direct fit, or easily adapted? Or would any others like KR fit? Obviously I don't want to go bigger if possible on the throttle plate.

for my old 8v I removed the top fitting off the digi TB and fitted a TPS and a bracket to hold it still, that worked well once it was setup. I hadn't heard of the 9a option.

there was an audi TB that fits and looks like it has a TPS fitted, but its actually just a switch for closed throttle and WOT, it doesn't nothing at all in between.

 

Any pics of your old setup?

 

I've got what is either an Audi or Passat Auto throttle body with TPS (a brand new Bosch TPS in fact). It's a direct fit for DX/PB manifold. I will try and dig it out.

the one I had I think was from an ABK engine? a late 2.0 audi 80?

This mod is on here somewhere and pictured or at least it was in one of Toyotec's threads. An Audi throttle body, but it still had to be modded with one extra item for Megasquirt iirc.

 

Fitted to a Digi manifold. One of many "future" projects was DX to Megasquirt.

 

Audi 5 Cyl TB is bigger

 

I'm pretty sure that's what mine is - although I bought it in the US so probably from a 3b Passat?
