    Hi all,

I'm building up a PB digifant engine to use in the golf championship so it has to be to standard spec. I've noticed that some PB's have yellow coloured injectors and some are blue. Does anyone know the difference and if so which I would be better of using?

Yes I have both, but don't have the yellow ones to hand. But the blue ones have 037906031c and 0280150902 on them

use the blue ones, they're the later injectors, slightly more flow 205 cc/min probably better spray pattern too.

I noticed that the white/yellow-ish injectors came on 8v digi's with 140mph clocks?
I mentioned this before and got the living **** ripped out of me lol

My late digi has green ones.

    Green ones any better?

Ive broken many 8v's and have always noticed this. Never looked into the injector rates or anything.

i honestly was going to rip the **** out of you.
then did some digging and you may be right...
first off 140mph clocks? they're quite rare i've never seen a set.

now the injectors which this thread is all about.
we cant find out the codes by knowing the colours, so cant find flow rates by colour.
No one on here has ever divulged the fact that 'green' injectors will fit the digi.
seems the green ones may well be G60 injectors, someone must have upgraded them.
they look identical to my yellow ones. ill do some digging and get a part number!

probably because its pretty obviuous that they will fit, sicne the G60 fuel rail & fpr is identical to the digifant one. But if they are g60 injectors they'll overfuel a digi by a long way. All bosch injectors of that shape will 'fit', you cant expect people to list every single possible model of injector that will fit a digi ;)

heres a rough list I've built up:

    Alfa 1.7-3.0, Fiat, Ford 2.0, Nissan - 189.2cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 702
    Volkswagen MK2 digifant = 191.8cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 757, VW 037 906 031A
    Volkswagen MK2 digifant = 197cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 903
    Saab white = 213.9cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 712
    Vauxhall 20XE cream = 214cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 744
    Volkswagen MK2 digifant = 197 or 218.1cc/min?, Bosch 0 280 150 902, VW 037 906 031C
    Vauxhall C20XE blue = 241cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 427
    Volkswagen MK2 G60 'Green' = 244.9 or 263.8 or 280?cc/min, 49hp, Bosch 0 280 150 905, VW 037 906 031 D
    Ford v6-3.8l SC? = 300.1cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 945
    Vauxhall Calibra Turbo C20LET yellow = 304cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 420
    Audi 2.2 S2 (3B) = 304.8cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 737
    Volkswagen MK2 G60 'Grey' = 307.9cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 923, VW 037 906 031f
"Red Top" Mustang injectors = 315cc/min
    Audi 2.2 S2 & S6 (ABY/AAN) = 345.8cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 951, VW 034 906 031b
    Audi 2.2 RS2 (ADU) = 345.8cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 984
    Saab reds = 359cc/min, Bosch 0 280 150 431

so say your 8v digi was charged and was putting out about 170 bhp an online injector flow rate calculator works that out as 340cc injectors ( so saab red injectors from list above) how much you change the fuel pressure at the regultor?
