see more quality products from Club Gti, thanks Richard and Luke nothing wrong with either of those digifants. So when they come back from testing it's the distributer next, a bit loose!!! I'll get there, a whole month without a mk2 it's mad and annoying.
Hope you get it sorted soon Matt! I was going to suggest looking at the dizzy. check the wiring going to the side of it (hall sender).
it is all connected etc but the guys at the garage say its loose 235000 miles of distributing, they are entitled to conk out at some point.!!!
I'll sus out a part number and source one after they've checked out the current one. 120 plus vat for a refurb so I'll do better on here or (ebay aggggh)
well she is running, hall sender on old distributor worn out.. I now have ecu and distributor spare so I'm filing them away for next time in years to come when they go wrong. I'm going to fit the second dizzy on because it's a better one off a clubgti member at some point. But it's never completely solved, cracked coolant front flange, so a few more pennies but getting there. Maybe going for a first drive in 2012 at the weekend.
Hey Matt, glad its finally sorted Was going to PM you back, just seen it now! Coolant flange is an easy fix and cheap from GSF. Just make sure you get the rubber o ring with it. Enjoy your first 2012 drive in the MK2.
yes I should have done it renewed that o ring a few years ago. Let the garage do it. they reckon one of the hoses needs doing, love those guys, been working on this old girl for 10 yrs.
