    Hi,
Ive been contimplating doing up my mk2 golf, leather trimm, vr6 engine etc, untill someone offered me 2000 for the golf, i started thinking should i sell it and get a corrado VR6 instead...i would have about 5000 to spend on a corrado, which would get me a nice one i guess, it would sadden me greatly to see the golf go but a corrado is just as amazing car, right?, and i would love to have both but lack of funds and space would put a dampener on that. My dillema is should i do up the golf with the 3000 or... buy a corrado VR6? Your views would be very much appreciated,
    Thank you
    James

    Definetly the Raddo.
Go here Corrado Forum for all your Corrado worries.
There is also the Corrado Club of Great Britain (CCGB).

Corrado, they handle very well and have great comfort on long trips . Plus your have ABS and bigger brakes etc ... Also if you wanted a 2.9 engine for your golf you may end up with a 2.8 as the 2.9 are not found for sale that often

Definately the Corrado. Think of it also from a resale view. You wouldnt get your money back if you sold the Golf after spending all that on it, The Corrado is not going to lose as much...if its a good one.

Thank you all for your suggestions

probably a corrado. you don't have to be a mechanic or a
budding mechanic to own one, not that I am of course - (my
cars knackered and about to be crushed if it doesnt respond to
my cack handed attempts to fix it soon. I'll be happy to see the
    back of it)

corrados are really heavy though arnt they.

I'd have to say corrado too I'm afraid.

As much as I loved the mk2's, they're getting a bit lon in the tooth now. and mk2 VR6's don't tend to sell very well either these days.

so prom a personal opinion, and also the sensible monetary side of things, the corrado would be the most sensible option.

just take your time and find a good one, there's a lot of dog rough ones about, and parts are VERY expensive.

I was talking to a lorry driver the other day at my local garage, because he had a very nice looking rado G60. totally imaculate bright red. It had only done 36,000 and it was a J reg! he said he was after selling it for a round 5500, that would be a very nice buy.

The storm is the last of the Raddos. They only came in certian colours and were fully loaded with leather, aircon etc etc. Should have a small Storm badge down at the handbrake.

    Corrado definitly.....

You don't need to worry about mileage so much... its more about how its been looked after and serviced.....

Don't buy the first one you see, and makes sure that the one you do buy is absolutely spot on...

www.the-corrado.net/forum has a corrado buying guide, plus we're generally pretty helpful...
    Autotrader is also good

    Best of luck..
