Displayed Oil Temperature.. accurate?

    The Mk1 cooler is brilliant.. dropped my ol,d 8v temp right down.

    I never boot my car until it's hit 70... i have hit 150 on track though! [:s]

    Mine indicates between 90 and 120 in normal driving but the readings tend to flick around as the MFA updates when the temp is above 100.

    I changed the sender which made no difference and the water temp is normal. I saw occasional readings in the 130s on the motorway during the summer but only for a couple of secs before it skipped back down to 115 - 120 ish.

    I just assumed that the MFA was a bit scatty. Any ideas on a fix ?

    Any given gutter, any given day.
    Clean up the sender connection and crimp the spade connector a bit tighter, if it's a bit loose it can send the readings all over the place.
