Hi all, been absent on here for a while since selling the mk2.
Been a few things going on, mainly working non stop for me, and vocational change for my wife, daughters wedding, house stuff, Christmas etc consuming time too.

I'll admit I do miss the mk2, mental thing that it was, but it's gone to a good home, and the wheels have had a nice trip from Yorkshire to the southwest and then eastwards to the new owner.

The engine for the polo has also left my collection and has travelled across the county to a known recipient, sure I'll be seeing it again soon.

Cleared a load of spares as one of the changes may accelerate plans to move, so downsizing the stash seemed sensible, but have been building pushbikes in the small spare time I've grabbed, few vintage frame single speed ones, and a Rover brm inspired using all new bits even a quilted red seat on it!

Car wise, The Leon estate has a broken suspension spring and next week is having new koni shocks and eibach springs fitted (weather is not great for scrabbling under cars) after dpd finally delivered next day 14 days Late!
So the polo has been the daily and being a base model to start has no remote locking and -6 means a few mornings climbing in via the boot. Few niggles to sort on it, nothing major, door lock motor and sorry front bumper for paint.

Looking forward to the Christmas break,
    seasons greetings to all.

:lol:the image of you clambering through a polo in the ice and snow is priceless.
The wheels look awesome on Ralph’s Golf, thanks again

Wasn't the most elegant path with all the cr@p that was in the boot, you can fold rear seats from there, but the headrest hits the front seats so just makes a slope to negotiate as well.

Good looking set of wheels, look fantastic on the red car.

Was wondering what was the Dodgemeister up to - you should try and get a copy of that jumper in your pic knitted Dave. It would be an absolute blinder for Christmas.

It's a long time gone I'm afraid, my sister made it for me years ago when she had a knitting machine, and a 'Dennis the menace' black and red stripey one.

Perhaps I should get some commissioned and sell them from a tuned van at an artisan market, could call it 'Colour Fast' or something punny.

Closest thing I have now is a pair of fur lined leather boots with tartan cloth panels in them, mrs D is the one with funky footwear.

Go for it Brother - you’d make a mint on those two jumper models alone

Second week of the new year and I'm still driving the polo, rear shocks and springs are on the Leon, but have had 2 sheared bolts on the front alloy hubs, awaiting replacement items to arrive (still) but have had a set of toyo sport 2 tyres for it turn up, and as the front hubs are getting stripped a new set of pads to go in, hopefully will get some progress next week.
