Door Trims Mk2 - Possible to make a batch ?

And several others on here and other forums, there seems to be a demand for new sets of door trims.

Vw Heritage seem to stock every other trim part, apart from these ?

Would you need a list of members / names to actually make a batch, as im sure they would sell, and demand would be high, especially for those doing restorations and for people wanting to replace broken / faded or missing ones.

Heritage don't make things, they import them from classic parts.

 

They can approach VWCP to re-produce items. I'm sure they had a hand in the re-run of G60's.

Yes, they were / are stocking G60 plastic arch kits.

Thanks for the feedback -we do manufacture some parts ourselves, but for items where the initial outlay for tooling is fairly high (wheel arches for example) if we can get VW Classic Parts to fire up the machine again, rather than us starting from scratch it helps everyone. These side trims are very much on the "to do" list, along with roof mouldings, outer scrapers etc.. just a case of how long, and where to get them from!

Keep the ideas flowing!

Yes that's right the OE-replacement stainless exhausts you guys do yourselves.

Im guessing you have had alot of interest in running a new batch of side trims.

So its just a matter of waiting then really.

I think everyone ive spoken to at shows and on the forums would all like to see a new batch of these come up one day, as all we can hope for is a mint set which rarely come up for sale.

Let us know first if you make a batch

 

They probably will make new ones but bare in mind the prices aint going to be cheap!

Just like the G60 arches, the monies they are going for Id rather not run any arches lol

 

Yea thats true. Lets hope they are not anywhere near the same as the G60's.

The G60s have actually come down alot in price since classic started re making for us

They are actually not too bad at all now hearing what people paid brand new from dealers when they were avaiable.

I would love to be able to get these again but for now i have a secret stash in my garage of a couple of sets lol spare for my mk2. We will keep you updated if anything does happen though

I dont think they are even classic parts? i walked into VW here in germany an ordered a complete new set plus red GTI badge and was about 85 euro i think?

 

Demand for these trims are getting higher VWH
