Drake heads for sale

Ive been off the tech part of this forum for a few weeks, and will be for another 2.5 weeks so this may have featured already, and I missed it, if it has, delelte this thread.

But...if it has not, then can someone save all the pics and re host here or somewhere on the forum as they are just, well, rare.

I have no time to anything with them tonight, Ive just found it, and am getting on a plane in a few hrs, other than that, Id save them all. I just want them to be safe, as the guy hints that they may not be up long.

What's the significance of these? Proper looking pieces of kit obviously , are they race or road units? What sort of CFM or bhp were these motors?

 

Full, custom made race heads. A drake 2.0 16v made around 280bhp. All from the link above.

 

Didn't they do an 8v version

 

Hope they did. And I hope they used 35mm dia x 28.8mm high ones: DX & EV

The drawing on the final page shows 'Graded Head Tappets' on the DRAKE valver.

I have been trying to find out if INA actually ever made 'Graded Head Tappets' for the 8vs?

As far as I can see. the factory cars probably used the bottom shim type system?
