as title replaced parts of the floorpan in my car with panels from donor cars, from your experience what do you use to grind the welds down flush? im using a bosch drill as the angle grinder wont fit in the tight spaces, flappy wheel or a stone wheel (someone mentioned stone wheel)? ebay links below - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silverlin...hash=item25bef64fb7:m:m0HUbwXIQdUS67m0UjQm5JQ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181103056910?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
If i was to build another car i would buy a powerfile. Much safer to use than an angle grinder and it can get into all the places a grinder cant.
Do you have a compressor? Air tools are cheaper to buy but more expensive to run as compressed air is comparatively expensive to produce . Powerfile belts can be expensive and not last very long if you're not careful with them . Carbide tools for die grinders aren't cheap and I've had burrs flick under my safety goggles into my eye once or twice . One time needing several hospital visits
Air linisher if you have a compressor man enough to run it same as a powerfile but will last much longer
As Mike said air tool are cheap you can pay 30 to 100 for exactly the same one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Air-Belt-Sander-20mm-520mm-Sanding-Buffing-Assorted-5-Belts-Car-Pneumatic-tools-/121832644916?hash=item1c5dcaa134:g:3lsAAOSwNphWYolq
