Drove the new GTI

    My mate just collected his new GTI Golf. It has the cloth check interior and DSG box. Really good to drive even after my 16v Mk2. Feel through the wheel not as good but grip even in wet is astonishing.

    DSG box a joy. Auto one minute, paddle shift the next. Great seats, good steering wheel.

    Nice raspy engine note without being intrusive.

    I want one.

    Problem is I don't have 22,000.......

    That reminds me, i gotta drive one of them that's lying around our showroom ;)

    Let me know how the acceleration compares to your 1.8t Richgit.

    :lol: (mk5 GTI) 200bhp in 1300ish kilos vs (Richgit) 280bhp in 1100kg.. hmmm [:s]

    comparison isn't needed G.

    it will never be able to compare- richgit's is the quickest car in the world remember ;)
