Electric impact wrench

Just the top few best sellers from ffx Ive bought off the quite a bit usually through eBay

 

Never heard of FFX before. The website looked like a bit of an amazon front end, but they are a proper store. Seems like they've just stopped price matching amazon on the dewalt kit 45 more now.

I take it all back Makita have a 3/4" with more torque +75Nm undo +100 do, M24 rather than M20 bolts, but it's a 25% more.

 

Ive got the 3/4 makita for our big machines at work . Doing a hundred M20 12.9 hex head screw on a blade change .
Only struggles with damaged bolts /trapped threads . We torque down to 450ftlbs and gun whips them out a month later .

FFX arent always the cheapest just has a good selection of equipment in one place to give you ideas .

 

They don't seem too bad. No one else got close to the amazon price that I could find. They must run price match software as it's been up and back down again in the last 1/2 hr

Thread revival alert

As I've been doing a bit of work on my daughters 1988 GTI 8v, and the previous owner seem to have a love for overtightening things or afraid of applying appropriate torque, I had to get an impact gun.

I ended up going for a Milwaukee M12 Subcompact with 3/8 fixings. That way it is not only super small to get into awkward places, but also very light to hold. It hasn't disappointed at all and so far has managed it all and that engine mount was tight

I'm using it together with some US Pro deep impact sockets in 3/8 as well.

Next job over the weekend is to try it on those swollen lug nuts on my Range Rover...

 

It’s doing with 12V tools unbelievable things. Perfect for the enthusiast DIY I’d say

I love makita. That 1000NM model is a bit heavy to use but it has plenty of power.
