ETKA 5.60.3 Not Working on XP......

Ifve installed it including the cracks and the hardlock but i'm still getting hardlock error

Anyone got any ideas what i'm not doing to get this working??

 

did you get any errors when u patched it?

 

yeah, bad file name or something like that i think......

Is that causing me the problem then do you think???

 

Took me ages, you have to run some progs under compatiblility mode? 6.02 works fine with xp..

 

i,ve got a copy you can have that works easy?

On XP?? If i cant get this working i might take you up on that mate......

i've got etka 5 it worked fine on windows ME but now that i've installed XP it doesn't work. i know there's away around it but can't remember what to do, does anyone know ???

 

Has anyone got ETKA 6.2 working to a 15'TFT if so how?

TSC or Phatvr6 have got it to scroll on their laptop I think?

 

Just change the screen resolution so it's larger than the screen actually supports - then you can scroll around it as Keith says.

 

where can i get a copy of the etka cd ive bin tryin for ages.

No joy getting ETKA 6 or newer so thought i'd bump this up. I'm sure there must be someone that knows how to get 5.6 working on XP...............

This happened to me!


Have you applyed the crack yet? I fogot to do this and it cleared the error for me

 

This is how i done it.

installing etka on nt4/2000/xp
RUN :\etkasetup(where D is your cd drive letter)
choose thelanguage and instalation required
install the zipserve programme when prompted
DO NOT ATTEMPT to run the etka program
copy following files from the folder d:service
(where d is your cd drive)
ncz_w_di5505.exe
ncz_w_sel5505.exe
ncz_wine5505.exe

into the etka root directory on the hard\ disk
(default is c:\et_prog)

select all files in folderC:\ET_PROG andset their attributes to not be "read only"

inthe following folderC:\ET_PROG rename the following files....
W_DIENST.EXE
W_SELECT.EXE
WINETKA.EXE
to be something along the lines of....
W_DIENST.NT4
W_SELECT.NT4
WINETKA.NT4
then from the ET_PROG.W95 folder on the cd copy the following files..
W_DIENST.EXE
W_SELECT.EXE
WINETKA.EXE

to the C:\ET_PROG folder
run the patch files...
NCZ_W_DI5505.EXE
NCZ_W_SEL5505.EXE
NCZ_WINE5505.EXE

in the C:\ET_PROG folder

this for running version 5

I never touched the hardlock I think once you done that it's all over .
