Exhaust for VR6

Hi,

My brother-in-law has just bought a VR6 and he's looking to replace the exhaust system. I'm not well up on these new fangled Mk3 Golfs

Anyone got any recomendations on systems, prices, suppliers?

Not sure if it makes any difference as to whether it has a cat or not but it's a K-reg 1993 model and he's looking for something fairly subtle (quiet!)

I've got a Jetex on mine, with no centre tunnel box. Nice and subtle, with a bit of a bark at high revs. Very nice sounds and very well made!

What sort of price would you be looking at for a full Jettex system (cat backwards) and where is a good place to buy one?

 

I got mine from www.motorsportworld.co.uk and it was 265 ish delivered IIRC.

yep jetex stainless for me too.had one on my vr.quality fit,nice sound

 

With my Mk2 VR6 im quite amazed at the moment. Im using the magnex system that i had fitted when the 16v was on the car, but with the 16v it was far too loud. With the Vr6 its near silent. Very strange!!
