i left a couple of inches or so of the standard non-flexi plastic hose that comes out of the block breather housing, then sleeved over that with some large pipe, which i then connected to a plastic T-piece, and plumed into the hose connecting to the UFO thingy. I went to an industrial hosing specialist opposite where i work, showed him what i needed to plumb into where, and he was very helpful, and sorted it for me.
i'll try and get some pics

here we go, also note how I've used the 2e rocker cover along with the 2e coolant system including front flange and header tank overflow. The overflow pipe on the rad was blocked with a length o tubing wi a bolt in it :)

Here's a close look at the breather setup, as you can see I chopped down the isv hose and fitted it to the throttle body, and connected the breather to the inlet pipe as per the MK3 setup. To hook the breather up I got a length of plastic breather pipe from a 2e inlet boot, chopped it down and stuffed the rubber tube over the top & secured with a jubilee. Anoyingly I've lost the plastic PCV valve cover and my scrappy have had no 2es in since

Oh, and if you look cloesely you can see the rubber elbow I had to use for the FPR vacuum feed becasue the 2e rocker cover sits much closer than the stock PB cover. I found normal rubber tubing snapped very quickly! The elbow is from the side of the airbox, and I used a vac tube joining piece to connect it to the line from the throttle body. I also binned the line to the airbox, as my metal shroud fell to bits and all the warm air feed does is make the engine warm up quicker, not had a problem since removing it

Edit: Oh and I put the speedo cable round the back of the engine to tidy the bay up a bit!

I'm liking what you did there Rubjonny. Looks very neat the way it's routed round the front of the block.

Sorted mine today, cut and shut 2e breathers with a small length of hose inbetween, 2e ufo on top. Easy and looks very oem.

ive got a 2e block that i want plumb into my pb head. i was wondering would i be better off installing a catch tank as well...something like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SALE-ROUND-OI...14&_trkparms=72:1689|66:2|65:12|39:2|240:1318

also, how do you attach the hose into the 2e crankcase breather? do you just push a rubber hose in thatll make a snug fit?! what hose sizes will i be needing to successfully plumb this all in can anyone tell me?
    cheers

some have a push fit connection secured with a clip, some just push on and are secured with a boggo hose clamp, just need to figure out which you have ant buy a 2.0 8v breather pipe to match

how necessary is installing a catch tank? i was thinking of trying to install something like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350178327417

but it stands 160mm tall with connections! thats alot of catch tank to find a space for under the bonnet......looking in this thread most people have just plumbed it straight into the rocker cover breather! advice please guys....not sure how to play it!!!!!
    cheers

absolutly unneccessary, all it does is keeps the inlet/throttle body clean. doesnt mean its worthless though, especially on cars that breathe heavily. means you dont have to clean the throttle body so often :)

hmm, the thing is if i was to install one id want to find one much shorter than 16cm!! do you know somewhere you can get smaller catch tanks from...im not sure what the smallest size is!!
can anyone roughly tell me how often they have to clean out their throttle body? e.g once every 10k miles etc.... and when you say clean, is that just pulling off the air intake pipe and giving the area in front of the butterflys a good old clean?
