Just sitting here bored so I thought I'd put up a few pics of my motor. I bought it in August 03 completely standard. VW Polo mkIV 97' 1.4i twin-cam 16v Dragon Green bhp : 110(est) Mods: Exterior: Debadged MkV rub strips Bonrath grill Crystal Indicators Crystal Repeaters Black Lexus-style rear clusters Laguna splitter Engine: BMC carbon fiber air filter & cold air feed Twin 3.5" slash cut backbox Chassis: -40mm springs front and back Black diamond discs & green stuff pads Front Upper + Lower & Rear Upper FK strut braces ICE: Alpine CDA-9815RB mp3 HU
Bet the induction sounds great on that. I usde to have one and it sounded quite good standard. I would loose the rear lights and exhuast though. Something a bit smaller ie. single flat oval tialpipe.
Yeh the old heat shield that used to cover the manifold was buggered so I had to throw that away... The roar that comes from the filter is great, you can hear it sucking in air from a mile off And as for the exhaust and lights, I was usure whether they would go with the car but once I got them on I was more than happy. Bit different and I do admit they look much better seeing them in the flesh.
