Whilst nosing about for other tweaks to my GT I was having look at a friend's Astra 16v. The airflow meter uses a wire to calculate airflow rather than a flap so should react more quickly and impede airflow to a lesser degree ( Ithink mk3s may use summat similar). Iirc, AmD used to market a conversion for a mk2 GTI but does anyone know if this conversion is diyable and suitable for a GT? Being Digifant as per a GTI I can't see why not but lack the knowledge I gather it'd be a case of unstalling the wire meter and an ambient air temperature sensor then converting the signal to that got from the std flap meter but again, I don't know what this would involve.

Any comments welcomed, even negative, especially quotes for the work :p [:D]
