i finally cracked it my self today

what you need to do is:
    1: remove the indicator
    2. locate the now visable philipps head screw and un-do it (its just on the end of the plastic cover)
    3. un-do the screw holding in the top, outer corner of the xenon power pack
    4. finally find and locate the screw in the top middle of the cover (its really difficult to find)
    5. gently pull out the offending bulb and replace it, being careful not to touch the bulb if its the main beam bulb.

hope this helps a few people out as i know these lamps are really difficult to change.
