It comes with 1 circuit immobilisation and suggests to cut the low current starter solenoid feed and attach each end to the 2 grey wires from the alarm unit.
Will it be okay to do this here in the engine bay?

Also could anybody advise which is a good ignition switch supply at the steering column?
Needs to be 12v when ignition on and engine running but switched off when key's out.

I know everyone's out in the sun but ANY help at all is really appreciated!!

    Cheers fellas..

    simple answer this one
    NO!!
all connections should be made inside the car
ignition supply is a black wire and can be found at either the fuse box or ignition barrel

top tip - get your solenoid feed from the ignition barrel or say 6 inches back where it cant easily be traced and bypassed then cut/splice then hide - its about making it hard to start, lets face it a decent auto electrician can defeat an after-market immobiliser in minutes quicker if he can trace/find the wires - assume thieves are of a similar skill set.

buzzin, I traced it back to the column and cut into it way back in the depths ha
It's all hid away and ll cuts in the car and works an absolute treat.
Knock sensor, interior ultrasonic, also wired to a current sensing live for the doors, boot and bonnet.
    And immobilises.
    Cheers dudes
