I'm changing the gearbox on my mk2 digi in the new week or so and was wondering if it is worth changing any parts in the cklutch at the same time. the clutch itself is only a year old so should be ok, but are there any bearings/seals or other relativly inexpensive parts that shouldbe done at the same time?

may be a good idea to change the spline shaft seal and the push rod seal although if not leaky ive heard cheap parts and bad fitting can cause them to leak [:s]

I'd change the rear crank seal if the engine's got more than 60k or so on it. It's quite easy to do and only takes about 1/2 hour.

change all the shifter linkage bushes and link rods, this will
make a huge difference in the feel of your shift. also get down
the scrappy and get a shift weight from a vw or seat 92 onwards
with a rod change 020 box
