I just tried to call FJ for a quote on my mk2 1991 16v and the responce was no quote! None of the companies they use will insure me!!
That's just crazy. Its an old car, I am over 40 years of age and live in London! Surely this is wrong!

I'm also still with them, they do seem to like the safe bet - multicar 2nd's being classics seem to be their thing

my policy states I must have more classics than modern's - not a bad thing , my renewal rates decreased yearly!

Try http://www.greenlightinsurance.co.uk/ nice chaps to deal with.

They will cover all non-performance mods for no extra cost just need to notify them. Performance then has a reasonable increase depending on BHP.
