So apparently the French government have decided to put Gatso cameras across France, first one went live on Monday.

Love 'em or hate them, you've got to admire the French for their affinity for taking direct action, this was one of the cameras, yesterday...

    No english translation sadly, http://www.tuftufclub.com/nieuws/bericht.php?welke=253

Hah hah, no... A cereal box painted grey to look like a Gatso... Reckon I'd get quite a few quid for it if I went knocking on some doors! Err maybe not cos I'm, like, 30 and I should have better things to do!

Might burn a real one... Plenty of 'em round our way, now where did I put that old bald tyre heh heh...

The French have always had the right idea how to tackle such issues of goverment repression,The French Revolution, the ferry blockades etc. whereas in this country all we do is whinge and not do anything about it I think there should be a timed targeting of all speed cameras at random intervals the cost to repair/replace would force a backdown of any further installations or repairs.

    Vive le france.

I'm starting to diagree with all these speed cameras being burnt to the ground (its nice to see the pics) but all there doing in my area is not replacing them and sitting a van in the spot of scortched ground...this is by far more unpredictable and sadly no ones got the bottle to blow them vans up!

Just think how much it costs to sit in a van for a day with probably two people in it the cost of that is surely bigger than a stationary camera. And as I said all people do is whinge about it anyway .

I blame the tories for starting it all off in 1996 with the speed camera partnership. [xx(]

Not that the present goverment have made it any better...wa*nkers the lot of um [|)]

why not do over a van? baseball bats and banaclavas?

saw one driving about last saturday-must have been a very hated van on the road, would of loved to have yanked the brakes on and have him go into the back of me...but not in the mk1!! ;)

whats the best way to wreck one? tyre and petrol? or a pick axe to the lense?

I would go for tyre necklace option myself as a pick axe only slightly damages one.

Looks like a tyre and some petrol is the most effective option... tuftufclub.com is a great site, but depressing too...

why is it depressing? because we don't have the bottle to do it ourselves?
